My grandfather and my father already played ice hockey when they were young. I also have two older sisters who grew up with that sport and so I started to play and enjoy it too.

Summer Hockey Camp 2012

8.8.2012 - Just a couple of days ago the Czech International Hockey Camp team had to say good-bye to each other after another successful four weeks in Nymburk. Over 550 people from more than 30 different nations got together over the span of the last month and made it the unforgettable experience it turned out to be. Unfortunately, during the second week the weather was not as good as we would have liked it to be, but as one very enthusiastic camper noted to us “who cares about the weather, we are inside playing ice hockey and that’s what counts.”

Czechs take bronze

22.5.2012 - Krejci scores game winner, Czechs beat Finland 3-2. HELSINKI – Three first period goals were enough for the Czechs to beat Finland 3-2, and win IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship bronze. Finland outshot the Czechs 14-1 in the last period but the Czech defence, led by goaltender Jakub Stepanek, weathered the storm. Stepanek made 34 saves in the game, Davod Krejci got the game winning goal for the Czechs.

Russian teams get ready for the season with the Czech International Hockey Camp!

10.10.2011 - For us the summer did not end with our traditional kid’s camp in July, but in August we welcomed two Russian teams from which one trained in Nymburk and the other in Benatky nad Jizerou. The women’s team of Fakel Korkino arrived in Nymburk for a one-week training camp in order to prepare themselves for their upcoming season and the U-10 team of HC Odincovo were training hard in Benatky for 15 days.

WCH 2011 - Czech Republic claimed a perfect bronze

16.5.2011 - BRATISLAVA – In one of the most entertaining bronze medal games of all time, the Czech Republic claimed third place with a 7-4 win over Russia this afternoon at Orange Arena. Roman Cervenka led the way with three goals and an assist in a game that featured all-out offence and wildly entertaining hockey. The eleven total goals was the most ever at World Championship and Olympic play.

Czech coach Brychta leads the Kuwait National Team

16.2.2011 - In KUWAIT jerseys only a few players of the national team of this Asian monarchy are slowly skating in the ice arena in Nymburk (the Czech Republic) at the end of their training session. "Guys are exhausted. On Tuesday they even didn´t finish the friendly match. There were some fouls against them so they brawled." These are words of Jan Brychta, the Czech ice hockey coach who decided to sign a contract in an extraordinary place for ice hockey.
