12.5.2014 - After a drought of over 6 years the Czech Republic’s U18 men’s team was finally able to celebrate again. Under the watchful eye of our very own coach Jakub Petr, the Czech Republic was able to take home the silver medal which is the first time that the team has ever finished so high in this tournament.

Nymburk Wins 2014 Town Of Sport Award

30.10.2013 - On the 18th of October, 2013 the city of Nymburk got awarded with the prestigious Town of Sport award. This award is annually given by ACES Europe to cities with a population of up to 25 000 which have to fulfill various criteria’s and undergo testing in the field of sports and sports related issues. ACES assigns every year the recognitions of European "Capital", "City" and Town" of Sport. The allocation of these recognitions is done by ACES, according to the principles of responsibility and ethics, being aware that sport is a factor of aggregation of the society, improvement in the quality of life, psycho-physical well-being and complete integration within social classes in a difficult situation.

Summer Hockey Camp 2012

8.8.2012 - Just a couple of days ago the Czech International Hockey Camp team had to say good-bye to each other after another successful four weeks in Nymburk. Over 550 people from more than 30 different nations got together over the span of the last month and made it the unforgettable experience it turned out to be. Unfortunately, during the second week the weather was not as good as we would have liked it to be, but as one very enthusiastic camper noted to us “who cares about the weather, we are inside playing ice hockey and that’s what counts.”

Czechs take bronze

22.5.2012 - Krejci scores game winner, Czechs beat Finland 3-2. HELSINKI – Three first period goals were enough for the Czechs to beat Finland 3-2, and win IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship bronze. Finland outshot the Czechs 14-1 in the last period but the Czech defence, led by goaltender Jakub Stepanek, weathered the storm. Stepanek made 34 saves in the game, Davod Krejci got the game winning goal for the Czechs.

Russian teams get ready for the season with the Czech International Hockey Camp!

10.10.2011 - For us the summer did not end with our traditional kid’s camp in July, but in August we welcomed two Russian teams from which one trained in Nymburk and the other in Benatky nad Jizerou. The women’s team of Fakel Korkino arrived in Nymburk for a one-week training camp in order to prepare themselves for their upcoming season and the U-10 team of HC Odincovo were training hard in Benatky for 15 days.

16.5.2011 - BRATISLAVA – In one of the most entertaining bronze medal games of all time, the Czech Republic claimed third place with a 7-4 win over Russia this afternoon at Orange Arena. Roman Cervenka led the way with three goals and an assist in a game that featured all-out offence and wildly entertaining hockey. The eleven total goals was the most ever at World Championship and Olympic play.

Czech coach Brychta leads the Kuwait National Team

16.2.2011 - In KUWAIT jerseys only a few players of the national team of this Asian monarchy are slowly skating in the ice arena in Nymburk (the Czech Republic) at the end of their training session. "Guys are exhausted. On Tuesday they even didn´t finish the friendly match. There were some fouls against them so they brawled." These are words of Jan Brychta, the Czech ice hockey coach who decided to sign a contract in an extraordinary place for ice hockey.
